The Art of London Living at its Absolute Best.
The sunrise and sunset upon period white buildings with gleaming majestic pillars and beautiful features is to behold, no wonder so many artists since the 19th Century onwards have lived and painted in the area of Kensington and Chelsea.
The Borough also offers the best of everything London can offer on your doorstep: fine Restaurants, Art Galleries to say nothing of the retail experiences offered by Harrods, Harvey Nichols and many boutiques and famous brands outlets too. You will be spoilt for choice.
As well as being a living canvas the area, like many fine art masterpieces, offers a very sound investment.
Cadogan Place is set within a magnificent terrace of large period properties, overlooking one of London’s most beautiful gardens. It combines the best of classic and modern living, benefitting from a lift which takes you directly to your apartment. Inside is as impressive as the exterior. Once there you pass by the immaculately fitted kitchen, you enter the fabulous dining room, which is flooded by natural light, with high ceilings which give a feeling of grandeur and space. The room is perfect for entertaining and creating lasting memories with both family and friends.
The dining room leads into the equally beautifully lit sitting room, with two large windows, original features and a commanding fireplace.
But it’s not just the interior which is impressive. The living room windows overlook the garden square, more than eight aches of grass and tended plants which also boasts tennis courts and dog friendly areas too, it is a wonderful space to enjoy.
The staircase from the sitting room beckons your curiosity to see more, it leads up to four roomy bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom, which follows the speciousness and light of the sitting room, shares the magnificent view out to the gardens. It has an ambiance of peace and quiet, perfect for a good nights sleep or an afternoon nap.
The other bedrooms on the second floor continue the theme of light and spaciousness as well as having good storage space too. This upper floor also offers the opportunity for you to change the layout of the rooms, should you wish, by simply moving some of the partition walls.
The third floor houses two well-proportioned bathrooms, featuring large tiles and a large glass shower screen keeps the spray from the powerful overhead shower at bay!
I asked the current owners to sum up why they bought the house, their first reason was for investment purposes and capital appreciation.
I then asked them their favourite thing about living there, to which they replied: “Kensington and Chelsea is all within walling distance. There is literally everything you can think of, the best restaurants, shops and our garden square, one of the largest in London. Sloane Square and Knightsbridge underground stations are close too.”
Of the house their favourite features are: “The high ceilings, peace and quiet, a lot of sunshine entering from both sides. The dining room is large for entertaining and the living room sunny. The master bedroom is very relaxing and the bathrooms were recently refurbished to the highest standards. The lift is very convenient, the garden perfect for walking, tennis and if you have a dog is a great space to enjoy.”
And what about the local area? “There are many local restaurants, cafes and small businesses all are very friendly, Mother especially enjoys Harvey Nichols and Harrods, Father walks a lot in the park, our favourite restaurant is Oliveto in Elisabeth Street.”
